1. Area –  the amount of space inside a two-dimensional object.

 

2. Associative Property – allows numbers to be regrouped in an addition or multiplication problem.

 

3. Bar Graph – a graph that uses bars to compare data

 

4. Box-and-Whisker Plot – a graph that displays the median, quartiles, and extremes of a set of data using the number line.

 

5. Circle – a set of all points in a plane that are the same distance from a given point in the plane.

 

6. Circumference – the distance around a circle

 

7. Commutative Property – allows numbers to be reordered in an addition or multiplication problem.

 

8. Cone – a three-dimensional shape that has a vertex parallel to the circular base.

 

9. Cube – a three-dimensional figure whose face is a square.

 

10. Cylinder – a three-dimensional object whose base is a circle.

 

11. Denominator – the bottom number in a fraction.

 

12. Difference – the answer to a subtraction problem

 

13. Distributive Property – for any numbers a, b, and c, a(b + c) = ab + ac and

    a(b – c) = ab - ac

 

14. Factors – terms that you multiply

35. Pie Chart – a graph using a divided circle to represent the parts of a whole

 

36. Product – the answer to a multiplication problem

 

37. Pyramid – a three-dimensional shape whose faces are triangles and has one base.

39. Rectangle – a quadrilateral that has four right angles and opposite sides congruent.

 

40. Rhombus – a quadrilateral with four congruent sides
